New survey launches to get the perspectives of Canadian businesses and financial institutions on climate transition plans
Business Future Pathways (BFP), in partnership with TMX, is conducting an online survey to better understand the gaps between businesses and financial institutions in Canada when it comes to developing credible transition plans.
The survey’s results will directly inform the guidance produced by Business Future Pathways in early 2026, which will provide simple and user-friendly guidance for investors and businesses that is immediately deployable — guidance that balances the needs of investors with the unique context, challenges, and decarbonization pathways facing businesses. The survey will also inform future sectoral guidance that helps companies develop credible transition plans specific to their industry.
Business Future Pathways is seeking the personal perspectives from professionals working in Canadian companies and financial institutions who have expertise in sustainability and/or climate transition planning. Responses will be anonymized, with no individual responses tied to any individual or company in the data analysis or in any of Business Future Pathways’ reports. The data will be aggregated and used to establish underlying relationships only, reported in summary format. The survey should take less than 15-20 minutes to complete.
