Our Governance and Structure
Business Future Pathways is governed by an autonomous and independent Council of financial, climate, and governance experts. The Council provides oversight and makes decisions on taxonomy and transition plan guidance based on evidence and recommendations developed by independent researchers at the Canadian Climate Institute, with input from sector-specific Technical Working Groups.
The Council works closely with a Financial Sector Advisory Group and a Technical Advisory Group, to ensure guidance is scientifically credible, practical, and aligned with Canadian priorities. It is also supported by an International Advisory Group to ensure the Canadian taxonomy is compatible with and draws innovation from international frameworks.
Business Future Pathways’ day-to-day work is supported by a Secretariat.
